Shut up and take my money

As a kid, the first house that I remember was on Swanson Court in Val Caron, ON.  My mom had been transferred to Sudbury with the government and my parents decided that it didn’t matter which of the 2 houses on the street they bought – but they were buying one of them.  PERIOD.

Why?

Because the neighbours sent one of their kids out to tell us that there was coffee on across the street and they should come over while they waited for the real estate agent to show up.

They didn’t give a rats ass what the inside of the house looked like, or how much work they’d have to put into it or what it was going to cost.  One of those houses was going to be there’s by the end of the week.
