My best friend and I lived together during COVID.  Completely Yahtzee’d out, we turned to a very old hobby, scrapbooking. It’s been well over a decade since I was deep in this hobby so a lot of memories have piled up.

A book for our trip to Cuba, finishing the baby book I barely started, yearly family books … I love it, it’s exciting, but it’s so overwhelming.

So we’re going to a Scrapbooking crop. It’s like a co-working space.  Pile all your stuff into your car, haul it into your office area and get to work.

6 hours of cutting, gluing and making beautiful things.  And I have exactly 3 weeks to get everything ready.

But you know me so of course I’ve already got my systems in place.

I’ve already got my systems in place.  I ordered a bunch of these envelopes from Amazon.  I’m going to order some pictures from this place (you get 45 free per month.  You’ll get 50 per month if you use dmartinello0748 when you register). And I’m using these templates.

I used to think that templates were cheating, but just like in business, when I have something to follow, I just get more things done in less time.  Unlike business systems, there’s a lot more room to zhuzh things up.

So the plan is that every layout is going to get its own envelope.  Inside are the photos, page template, paper, and other fun things I want to use on the layout so when I’m there I can stay focused and get so much done.

Your business should work the same way!

Right now, you might feel like the person dumping everything onto the table, hoping something magical happens. But the people who actually see success have a system that lets them show up, execute, and get results.  This is your system.

I have a pretty cool free resource that will help whip your systems into place.  The tags in your email marketing so that they stay clean, organized, tell a story of the journey your client goes on with you.
